All about Michael
Mick is a seasoned CFO having spent over 30 years in Financial Services, both in the UK and in Africa. He has built upon that experience and today works as an impactful venture catalyst, enabling start-ups and investors to join forces to make social and sustainable change. He has applied his skill set to MedTech, AgrTech, EdTech as well as FinTech, and continues to focus on Africa’s development as well as other geographies.
Mick is also a board advisor to Koya Capital, a venture fund focused on commercialising African University research and is the Chair of the Afghanistan International Bank.
In recent years I’ve had to deal, like many people, with elderly parents and in-laws. I’ve been shocked at every turn how disjointed their medical records are, and the near-misses in terms of misdiagnosis and time-wasting repetition of getting elderly people with dementia to try to recall the pills they’ve been subscribed. This has to stop, this why I’m launching Evitas with my superb founding team.
